This collection contains 45 original images, taken with 4x5 film. The collection is also created as Polacolor Emulsion Transfers. The photographs document the life of Ted Smallwood and his family in the early 1900's including interpretive text about Smallwood's relationship with the Semilnole Indians. The Smallwood Store is located in Chokoloskee, Florida, in the Ten Thousand Islands. Gillan was awarded a Florida Humanities Council grant for this project which took the exhibit on a two year, nine museum tour throughout Florida. Sponsored by The Polaroid Corporation.
